Reel Fun Camps *

Join us for an unforgettable adventure on the water! This day camp is designed for boys and girls ages 6–12 and runs from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Campers will spend the day aboard our boat learning hands-on fishing skills—how to throw a cast net for bait, bait a hook, and reel in their very own catch. Along the way, we’ll explore the wonders of the Lowcountry, with the chance to stop at a barrier island and hunt for shark teeth. A delicious lunch will be provided, so all your child needs to bring is excitement and a lifejacket that fits them appropriately!

Questions & Answers

Where and when is the camp located?

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the end of the Shem Creek Boardwalk (Shrimp Boat Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464). We will be fishing throughout the inshore waterways. Drop-off will be by 8:30 a.m. and pick-up will be at 2 p.m.

What should we expect?

We will teach each camper how to catch bait using a cast net, operate a live well, bait a hook, cast and reel in fish! As well, we will stop at a nearby island and search for shark teeth. While on the boat we will look for different marine life, including dolphins and manatees. We will have a minimum of 2 boats with 5 campers per boat with US Coast Guard certified captains.

What is provided and what do we need to bring?

Each camper will need to provide their own lifejacket. We ask that parents/guardians help remind their camper they will be required to wear lifejacket at all times. Feel free to bring sunscreen, but there will be some on board and captains will be assisting campers in re-application. We will provide waters, juice boxes, a light snack and lunch onboard. Campers do not need a fishing license, as they are covered under the Captain’s. Due to limited space on board, we ask that campers not bring any food or bags unless cleared beforehand by Captain Cole.

How much does this cost?

It is $425 per camper. If booking more than one camper, please reach out to Captain Cole as we will offer reduced pricing. We will take cash, Venmo, or card.

This sounds great, how do we sign up?

Please fill out the form below. Within 48 hours of receiving the filled out form, we will be in touch. We will require a deposit of $100 per camper to secure their spot. Final balances are due the day of camp. As well, all campers will be required to have a signed waiver before departing the dock the day of camp.
